High Performance Coach of the Year – Sponsored by UK Sport
British Swimming's Alexandre Rochas enriches his athletes’ lives by embedding personal values that help them dive and thrive – both in the competition environment and away from the pool. A hugely successful Commonwealth Games extended his divers’ 2022 medal haul to 38, including 16 golds, proving the British Diving coach knows how to get the best from his athletes.
Lead coach of the British Cycling mountain biking team, Simon Watts has been instrumental in the rise and rise of Olympic MTB cross-country gold medallist – and superstar all-rounder – Tom Pidcock, and his cyclists have won European cross-country and cyclo-cross world championships in 2022 in a success-laden year.
In consecutive years, Head National Coach of Trampoline for British Gymnastics Tracy Whittaker-Smith MBE has coached double Olympic medallist Bryony Page to World and European glory. Also British Gymnastics Performance Director (Olympic Disciplines), Tracy is a self-confessed “life-long champion of the power of sport to impact communities, change lives and inspire generations”.
