Community Coach of the Year – Adults – Sponsored by Sport England

Penrith Pumas WRC CIC coach Byron-Lee Durkin White is a shining example to the players that, despite having life-changing injuries, life doesn't have to stop. His journey is a testament to how Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby can be a lifesaver for people who think their disability would mean they could never play competitive sports again.

The Invictus Games Foundation legend Heidi Blunden represents the true heart of coaching. Placing much of her focus on supporting participants’ mental health, physical injuries, and confidence and belief, Heidi is a star of British Cycling.

Delivering his sessions across homeless hostels, Single Homeless Project coach Jordan Bedford builds confidence and security in his participants. He removes many of the barriers they face to participation, providing clothing, trainers, equipment and refreshments, all free of charge.
