Sunday Night Football DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 12 Packers-Bears Showdown tournaments

Packers vs. Bears looks on paper like it could have NFC North implications, but unless Chicago reverses a recent trend of lots of losing, it shouldn’t be that close. The Bears will be counting on Mitchell Trubisky as their starter with Nick Foles (back) still hurting. That’s a definite mismatch compared to Aaron Rodgers, but both QBs make our DraftKings Showdown lineup for Week 12’s Sunday Night Football.

We’ve made the call to fade both running games entirely. That’s not a plan that always works, but it gives us an opportunity to stack two pass-catchers with each quarterback in the hopes that we can capture as much of the passing volume as possible.

DraftKings Showdown Picks: Packers vs. Bears

Captain (1.5x price, 1.5x points): WR Anthony Miller, Bears ($4,500)

We’re counting on a good built-in relationship between Mitchell Trubisky and Miller here. Trubisky’s best game of the season came in Week 1, and Miller played well then, too, catching six passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. With Green Bay’s focus on Allen Robinson, Miller can make things happen over the middle at a value price.

FLEX: WR Davante Adams, Packers ($12,600)

Adams remains a must-play in Green Bay single-game action. We’ve chosen to go away from captaining him this week to get two other top Packers in a game Green Bay is the obvious favorite to win big, but Adams should continue to rack up huge reception totals as Aaron Rodgers’ main man.

FLEX: QB Aaron Rodgers, Packers ($11,400)

Rodgers is still in rare form these days, proving that he’s not yet on the decline. With Allen Lazard back, things are only better for the future Hall-of-Famer. Chicago’s defense is solid, but it’s not good enough to consider fading Rodgers.

FLEX: QB Mitchell Trubisky, Bears ($9,200)

Trubisky doesn’t get lumped in with this era’s main rushing QBs — and maybe he doesn’t run quite that much — but he has that ability to add to his fantasy floor. In a game Chicago should trail and will be forced to throw a lot, Trubisky might not look pretty but could get us a solid volume fantasy day.

FLEX: WR Allen Lazard, Packers ($6,800)

Behind Adams and Lazard, the Green Bay receiving corps is having some injury issues. That should push Lazard to a near-every-snap role in his second week back from core muscle surgery. We couldn’t fit Aaron Jones, so we’re investing big time in Green Bay’s passing attack here instead.

FLEX: WR Darnell Mooney, Bears ($4,800)

By playing Mooney, we’re fading both running games entirely. Trubisky doesn’t have as long a relationship with Mooney as Miller, but it’s Mooney who’s the deep threat who will only take one play to pay off in a big way. He’s been quiet of late, which should keep his ownership down in a range where he’s definitely worth using.
